Our Story

Darryl and Lucy bring to you Blue Wren Dining & Events, located on their family’s vineyard in Coolagolite on the Far South Coast of NSW. With a shared passion for the hospitality industry and taking advantage of the limited options for both dining and function venues between Merimbula and Narooma they came to together with Suzanne from Breakfast Creek Vineyard to present to you a family friendly venue serving wholesome delicious food.

Darryl began his career as Chef at 16 as an apprentice working at a Sydney family restaurant and from there went on to work at various venues including the Sydney Opera House and powerhouse museum and more recently in his hometown of Bermagui.

Lucy has been in the Hospitality industry for over 20 years. Having studied Hospitality at Regency Park TAFE in South Australia, she began working her way through the industry eventually taking over the management of her family vineyard, where she coordinates the day-to-day management of the vineyard and farm, as well as making wine.

Lucy has become passionate about promoting local food and beverage producers on the Far South Coast. She Co-Founded and sits on the committee of ‘The Gourmet Coast Trail’.
